BlogRush is Dead

I went to check blogrush just a few minutes ago and instead of the main page comming up this page came up say it had shutdown and i had to remove the widget. It said that the blogrush system was not working for the users and blogrush ran into problems like people try to cheat the system and problems with secuirty. John Reese is the owner of blogrush and has not made any $$ from blogrush and blogrush was running on a server that cost $7,000 month. The owner and the team worked very hard to keeping blogrush going and have been working hard since the start.
Blogrush in total served 3.4 Billion blog post headlines from blogs all over the world. Blogrush got several offers & inquiries about acquiring BlogRush and he said no, he said it was the right thing to do for his users. I think it was a good idea not to sell it but usually when services like this are sold they become useless so it might have been good choice to shut it down but at lease if he sold it he would have got some of the money back that he lost. Blgrush did get a bit of traffic for my blog and quite a bit of clicks to my blog.
